Catch a glimpse of Palawan’s Puerto Princesa City attractions and products at the second phase of the Philippines’ Bests! Southern Tagalog Exhibit which runs until July 31 at Clamshell 1 in Intramuros, Manila. Despite Palawan’s re-assignment from Southern Tagalog Region to Western Visayas (Region VI) under Executive Order 429, the province’s capital city continues to support Region 4 by joining this year’s show in Intramuros.

Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace Durano lauded Mayor Edward Hagedorn for his continuous effort in promoting the city.

"We are very pleased with the gesture shown by the local government and private sectors of Puerto Princesa by joining this year’s Southern Tagalog exhibit," he said, adding that the city is one of the top tourist drawers in the country.

Palawan joins the rest of the provinces of Reg. 4 in the exhibit. The second phase features MIMARO (Mindoro Oriental, Mindoro Occidental, Marinduque, and Romblon). The first phase focused on the provinces of CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon).

Visitors will find Puerto Princesa’s different tourist products and services such as the St. Paul Underground River, crocodile farm, and a variety of tourism establishments in the Palawan booth.

On the other hand, Mindoro features its delicacies, dried sea foods and its top attraction, Puerto Galera - a popular dive destination that features a wide range of outdoor adventure and top-quality accommodation facilities.

Romblon, the marble capital of the country, boasts of ecotourism adventure in Mount Giting-Giting.

The Marinduque booth, meanwhile, features its Moriones Festival and sells handicrafts and furniture items at reasonable prices. It even has butterfly ornaments that promote the province’s butterfly farms.

Opening the festivities were Department of Tourism (DoT) Undersecretary Oscar Palabyab, DoT Region IV Director Louella Jurilla, and Region 4 local officials.
