Asian Spirit resumes air services to Laoag

Domestic air carrier Asian Spirit Airlines resumed its flights to Laoag yesterday and will now fly four times weekly direct from Manila utilizing the new 100-seater British Aerospace (BAe) 146 Jet Aircraft, manufactured by British Aerospace Systems.

The Laoag morning flight leaves Manila at 9 a.m. and arrives Laoag at 10 a.m. every Tuesdays and Thursdays. Return flight from Laoag is at 10:30 a.m. arriving Manila at 11:30 a.m. Afternoon Friday and Sunday flights are also offered with a Manila departure time at 3:00 p.m. and arrives Laoag at 4 p.m. Return flight from Laoag is at 4:30 p.m. arriving Manila at 5:30 p.m.

The re-opening of the Manila-Laoag route is part of the airlines’ program to further connect both tourists and commuters’ destinations after acquiring the new 100-seater jets. After Laoag, the airline will further expand its operations to Zamboanga, Jolo, Tawi-Tawi and very soon to the diving-haven Palau.

Earlier the airline opened up the Manila-Davao and Manila-Kalibo route using the new generation regional jet, which is also known as the "whispering jet" due to its four powerful yet quiet jet engines.

The airline flies to 21 destinations to and from Manila and Cebu hub. These include Boracay, Baguio, Batanes, Busuanga, Cagayan de Oro, Calbayog, Catarman, Clark, Davao, Kalibo, Laoag, Masbate, Pagadian, San Jose, Surigao, Taytay Palawan, Tandag, Tuguegarao and Virac.
