It was a wild and exhilarating contest for the various colorful and well-decorated Balsa entries during the recent 2006 annual Balsa Festival at the Matabungkay Beach Resort and Hotel (MBRH) in Lian, Batangas.
This year’s theme focused on environmental protection – ‘Pangalagaan ang ating Kalikasan, Panatilihin ang ating Kapayapaan, Isulong Natin ang Kaunlaran!!!" The major sponsor for the event was giant food conglomerate, San Miguel Corporation. Matabungkay Beach Resort and Hotel is located in Lian, Batangas.
