The Philippines will host the Spa Asia Summit starting today until Oct. 5.
Now on its third year, the Summit has "shaped into an internationally acclaimed event" that promises to post "exceptional participation and highly successful conclusions."
The theme of this year’s Summit is "Harnessing Collective Consciousness: Nurturing Growth, Inspiring Change," which concerns all industry professionals, business owners, and suppliers.
It will bring to Manila a multitude of health and wellness experts, practitioners, and officers in companies in related fields, including journalists from leading publications in the United States, United Kingdom, Greece, The Netherlands, Taiwan, Thailand, and Korea.
Foreign journalists will also have a post-summit tour to Boracay and Palawan, whose worldclass health and wellness facilities can be featured in their publications.
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1280, October this year and every year thereafter has been declared National Health and Wellness Tourism Month to "instill greater awareness and heightened consciousness and understanding of the importance of Health and Wellness Tourism as a globally competitive industry."
The event is expected to strengthen the Department of Tourism’s (DoT) campaign in positioning the Philippines as a preferred health and wellness destination
