A secluded sanctuary always has a unique charm that attracts travelers to discover what it has to offer. With the promise of a fun time in a hot new vacation destination, hundreds of urbanites troop down to Playa Laiya in San Juan, Batangas.

Playa Laiya’s recently concluded event treated guests to boundless fun, frolic, and a fiesta organized by developer Landco Pacific Corporation. Faces were all aglow as guests caught sight of the vast shoreline and colors splashed all over the soon-to-rise residential-resort community.

A gigantic blue slide loomed over the beach; multi-colored kites dotted the blue sky; and tents in bright red, orange and yellow hues gently swayed to the breeze. Even small flower wheels turned endlessly at the slightest draft of wind.

Everywhere you turned, you could see something fun happening, and there was something for everyone.

After arriving, it did not take long for some guests to enjoy the clear waters of Playa Laiya. Some decided to spend the morning walking along the shore, trying to take in the healthy morning sunlight and the breeze.

There were also some who decided to go for a little adventure by hopping into the kayaks at the shore. But mostly, guests just put on their beach gear to swim with their kids and friends.

On the shore, kids gleefully flew kites they made themselves with the help of the Kite Asia Family Kite Workshop. Coming in varying shapes, colors, and sizes, the kites served as colorful breakers in the vast and clear blue sky.

Under the tents, a small crowd—consisting not only of kids but also of adults—gathered to line up for the free body art renderings. Artists offered not only henna tattoos but also face painting and glitter tattoos.

On one end of the beach, you could see yuppies enjoying the sun and trying to get tans as they enjoyed the music.

There were even booths that served food and refreshments for those who felt cravings even before meal time. The number of guests swelled as noon approached. By then, everyone could take in the smell of good food wafting in the air.

A Sumptuous Feast, A Fun Fiesta

At lunchtime, everyone gathered to partake of the sumptuous buffet that was specially prepared for them.

To complete the fiesta atmosphere, entertainers took the stage. The program hosted by Magic 89.9’s Big Daddy Jake featured Tony Bernardo and Bateria who thumped the beats of samba. Meanwhile, singer and dancer Eileen Sison pepped up the crowd that gathered for the sumptuous buffet.

The crowd soon joined the fun and danced to the beat of bongos. Fun games also saw eager crowd members participating, including special guests who came to join the day’s festivities.

After the program ended, the crowd stayed on under the tents to relax while the rest spread out as there was still much fun to be had.

More exciting activities are expected to unfold as Playa Laiya unleashes wave upon wave of fun, frolic, and fiesta when it finally opens. Landco Pacific Corporation is the developer of high-end leisure, urban, and hometown communities, hotels and resorts, malls and CBD complexes.
