SO you think beach fashion is all about sarongs and
bead bracelets? Wrong. This summer peak season’s
Boracay getaway showcases a whole range of prints
and accessories that make going to the beach a
wet-’n’-wild experience.
From breakfast to afternoon chill or savvy sports activities, the island bursts
with color and vibrance, as sea and sky merge in one bluish green hue,
broken only by the deep yellow orange of the sunset.
Evening, the parade shifts to Boracay’s nightspots as
partyphiles jump from one sizzling venue to another.
While the night crowd gyrates on the beach, the stars
shine bright dispelling the darkness of a moonless sky.
At the MTV-Smart parties all over the island, from
Pearl of the Pacific to Cocomangas, islanders and
urbanites bump and move in one groove--the island
beat is well and alive.
If you are people-watching and trendspotting on the
island, you will find bikinis and tankinis paired with
drawstring pants, mini skirts and short shorts. For men, vests and wild printed
shirts are de rigueur.
Ultimately, the best fashion statement on the beach is a perfect tan (which,
unfortunately, I don’t have.) The best ammunition, suntan or sun block,
whichever you prefer.
