British Airways recently feted its outstanding Travel Agents in ceremonies held at the Captain's Bar of the Mandarin Oriental.
BA country manager Philippines Violy Echevarria headed the all-woman BA team in welcoming the guests from various travel agencies, together with marketing manager Natalie Puey and sales manager Marissa Saavedra.
Noting the significance of the event, BA regional sales and marketing manager Colin Roy flew in all the way from London to personally congratulate the travel agents who have displayed exemplary sales performance for year 2000.
This year’s honorees include: Lucky Travel Corp., Thomas Cook, Phils., Sierra Tours, Constellations Travels, Morning Star Travel, Regent Travel, Philscan Travel, Fiesta Tours & Travel, Instone International and Magsaysay Travel.
Another set of awards, the BA Winners Circle, was likewise given to the top five travel agencies who have achieved significant sales pitch for the previous year. Among the recipients were Horizon Travel & Tours, Uni-Orient Travel, Travel Saver Phils., Inc, Pan Pacific Travel, and King of Travel.
With all the citations given out, British Airways and all the awardees look forward to another fruitful year ahead in boosting the country’s tourism industry.
