PAGCOR to help develop Pantabangan resort-hotel

PANTABANGAN, Nueva Ecija – The proposal of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) to the provincial government of Nueva Ecija to jointly develop the Pantabangan Guesthouse Resort and Hotel into a world class tourist complex has encouraged private investors and prosecutors to survey business possibilities in this hilltop haven.

Pantabangan Resort resident manager Jose Puno, Jr. for his part welcomed the PAGCOR offer as he remarked that their front office desk has been swarmed with inquiries from both local and overseas tourists after listening to the governor talk of development activities in the area over radio station DWNE.

According to Joson, the province expects from the co-management arrangement appropriate funding for the paving of the zigzag road that leads to the complex site and the absorption by the government-owned gaming firm of hotel and security staffers.

Moreover, the provincial chief executive disclosed that the joint planning task force has started mapping up studies for the construction and operation of an amusement arcade within the hotel grounds and the further upgrading of existing lodging, dining and recreational facilities.

Reiterating Joson’s call for joint and multilateral development of this scenic yet historical town, Puno assured interested travelers and investors of the support pledged by municipal government officials led by Mayor Lucio Uera and community leaders of Bgy. Bukang Liwayway.
