Camp John Hay sets summer art festival for children, adults

The CJH Development Corporation (CJH DevCo) offers a series of art workshops for children and adults, on April 20 to 27, at Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

Open to children ages 7 to 13 are: “TanghalTula” (April 20-23), which covers writing and performance of poetry, both narrative and lyric; and “Batang-Sining“ (April 24-27), a creative expression workshop on poetry-writing, storytelling, theatrical presentation, puppetry, art-making and book-making. Workshops will be facilitated by the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and will culminate in a showcase performance and exhibit.

For adults, interesting craft workshops on the following topics will be offered: fossilized flowers and dried foliage making; mould and casting for candle making; and utilization of industrial and agricultural wastes for product design and development. These workshops are ideal for hobbyists and would-be entrepreneurs.

The public is also invited to take part in the various activities to be conducted by CJH DevCo on April 22 in observance of Earth Day.
