Paskuhan Village slates Xmas bazaar & trade

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A Christmas bazaar and trade fair will be held at the Philippine Christmas Village, popularly known as Paskuhan Village from Nov. 22 to Jan. 5, 2003.







Dubbed “Philippines’ Best Christmas Bazaar and Trade Fair,” it will feature more than 150 booths selling local products ranging from home and Christmas decorations, toys, souvenirs, furniture, scented candles, garments, jewelry, art works by Visayan artists, fashion accessories, shoes, bags, belts and more.





Floriculture products will also be available during the entire run of the bazaar.





The Christmas bazaar at Paskuhan Village will be different from other bazaars, said the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA), the lead agency in charge of the project along with Meeting Planners Group (MPG). “There will be something to do for every member of the family.”





Among the attractions in the Village include calesa rides, a children’s playground, an amusement center, carnival rides, bicycle rides as well as an audio-visual presentations of the many scenic spots in the country.





A Filipino food festival will also be held. Other features are the Floral Gardens of the World which will feature an assortment of birds and butterflies, fireworks competition by registered pyrotechnic companies in Bulacan and hundreds of Pampanga’s famous, colorful lanterns.





Starting Dec. 16, the traditional “Simbang Gabi” will be held every night. Filipino favorites such as puto bumbong, bibingka, salabat and hot chocolate will be sold in nipa huts.
