Queen Margarette Hotel makes waves

On the outskirts of the progressive city of Lucena, 137 kilometers from Manila, rises Queen Margarette Hotel. Rightfully heralded as the premier hotel in Quezon province, if not the entire Southern Tagalog region, its reputation as the “number one” is also applicable both as a venue for business meetings of virtually any size as well as a top-rater for menu selection of unparalleled cuisine at the restaurant.

Established in 1997, the hotel was conceived from the combined vision of successful businessman Francis Dy and his wife, Edna Aycardo Dy. Already flourishing with their LC Big Mac Burger, Inc., the couple saw the need to provide the region with first-class facilities for conventions and banquet celebrations, as well as fine dining and bar amenities, all housed under one roof. Aptly named Queen

argarette Court after the couple’s only daughter, it quickly gained an enviable reputation in the region for its service, cuisine, elegance and warmth of its ambience which can only be attributed to Edna Dy’s attention to every detail.

After two years of operation, Queen Margarette supplemented its convention and banquet facilities with the addition of what can be called the crown jewel of the

expansive complex, the Queen Margarette Hotel. Built just behind the existing edifice, the 43-room luxury hotel offers first-class accommodations with well-appointed guestrooms and suites. A bean-shaped swimming pool with wet bar set amidst a backdrop of cascading waters from a man-made waterfall and a jacuzzi complement the feel of luxury at every turn.

Queen Margarette Hotel, recently accre

dited by the Department of Tourism, is quickly gaining popularity this side of Luzon through its various sales programs, as well as by word of mouth. A website (www.queen margarette.com) enhances its marketing programs.

Plans for expansion of the hotel facilities are currently being considered, as business turnout has been very encouraging. This should come as no surprise to many who are famil

iar with the royal treatment and experience they get upon entering the gates of “the Queen” — Queen Margarette Hotel.
