Taal Vista reopens under Barcelo Group management

The Taal Vista Hotel, a Tagaytay City landmark (favored by thousands of first-time and returning visitors) has recently reopened under the management of Barcelo Hotels and Resorts. The Barcelo Group signed the management contract on Dec. 20, 2002, making the hotel the fourth property outside Metro Manila.

Taal Vista Hotel is the preferred hotel in the area considering the proximity to Manila, the CALABARZON area and to the historical and cultural spots in the province. Picture-pretty sights, clean cool mountain air and gracious amenities blend to sustain the enchantment of Taal as relished from the site of Taal Vista Hotel.

As part of the renovation program, rooms will be refurbished and designed to international standards (with the panoramic view of the Taal Lake and Volcano) and will be furnished with great comforts to suit the guests’ needs. Only one restaurant will be operational during this period. But the hotel will have more outlets offering an enticing selection of Asian and international cuisine by the time it reopens.

As part of the Barcelo Hotels and Resorts philosophy, all staff will be trained to be friendly and efficient, “to give guests prompt and unobtrusive service.” The Barcelo Group will also upgrade the standards and services of the hotel and add new facilities such as a pampering spa with an entirely different concept from the existing spas in Metro Manila.

The hotel will likewise offer value-for-money with better services and excellent food and beverage at a cost of between US$35 to US$45 a day. For the opening in January, it will launch a “Barcelo Taal Vista Break” promotion where guests will be enjoying a 40 percent discount from the preferred rate and a free breakfast.

Other properties under the helm of Barcelo Group are the Barcelo Pearl Farm Island Resort, in Samal Island; Barcelo Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center, Iloilo; and Barcelo Asturias Hotel in Puerto Princesa.
