Splash Island is back REOPENS ON MARCH 4

Corporate outings and family get-togethers will surely get a positive response for a planned summer activity with the awaited reopening of Splash Island, the country’s only world-class water park, on March 4.

The six-hectare aqua wonderland located in Biñan, Laguna features thrilling rides against a lush tropical landscape. Foremost of these are the body slides, inner tube slides, mat racing ride and family raft ride. Blood-pumping excitement is offered by amusements such as the “Dos Supremos” and “King Pilipit” slides with plenty of turns and giant twisters. The “Big Bam Boo”, “Twisted Palms” and “Tausug Trails” on the other hand, offer riders on inner tubes with thrilling back-to-back 360 degree turns, full-circle curves and down-the-tube dives.

Other favorites include the huge 30-meter wave pool with wave generators that produce waves rolling one after the other, reminiscent of the famous California surfs; and a lazy river that measures 1,200 feet.

For kids, Splash Island has “Camp Carambola” with rides specially designed for them. In “Bannakita”, children can have a river adventure while the “Boon Docks” gives them a delightful wilderness expedition. There is also “Water Wahoo”, an elaborate water play system with exciting features and effects.

Given the meticulous planning for the park, topnotch consideration was given to its maintenance. Clean water is assured through a centralized filtration system located at the center of the Park. A team of pool technicians perform an hourly check on the water to make sure that it is healthy for treading. On this aspect, Splash Island received an excellent rating on aquatic safety, even in its first year of operation, from Jeff Ellis and Associates, Inc. of Texas, a highly-acclaimed international aquatic safety consulting firm.

Colorful and sumptuous feasts characterize the “Fiesta Sa Pulo”, the park’s food court where mouth-watering dishes are served.
