| Filipino-Chinese group to develop and upgrade Huzhou City resort |

A Filipino-Shanghai Chinese joint venture group will soon start full-scale development and upgrading of a 40-hectare multi-feature resort in Huzhou City, China.
A memorandum of agreement was recently signed between the Administrative Commission of Huzhou City Economic and Development Zone and the Sino-Filipino Joint Shanghai Jiesheng Sports Equipment Co. Ltd.
The awesome project is the Taihu Lake Paradise. It is the resort center of the cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Huzhou, and other places surrounding the famous Taihu Lake. It is visited by some 8 million tourists a year.
The agreement will convert the 40-hectare all-family resort into a world-class recreational and vacation center. The development will include several hotels, condominiums, an amusement park, an entertainment shopping center, a fisherman’s wharf, a yacht club and a Philippine Center. Educational tours will be the main thrust in its international marketing drive.
The Sino-Filipino Joint Shanghai Jiesheng Sports Equipment Co. Ltd. is a mutual undertaking between the Tang family of Shanghai and Benjamin C. Bautista. The latter is chairman of Eduplan Philippines, a leading educational pre-need insurance company, and president of BNN Bautista Associates, an architectural firm.
