BALAI TAAL Nature at its best

TAGAYTAY CITY — In search of a place for retreat and reflection, the Concepcion family discovered a forest paradise in Tagaytay... A mountain ridge of lush greenery, a nippy chill in the air and an unobstructed 180 degree view of Taal Lake, Balai Taal is one of the few developments here in the city that delivers utmost privacy and security.

In a recent media fam tour, the Concepcion family said that Balai Taal is built upon a vision only a discriminating few will fully appreciate.

Balai Taal, only an hour drive from Makati City, is a 19 hectares of virgin forest serving as a sanctuary to rare species of flora, trees, butterflies, dragonflies and towering bamboos, and four private homes.

Landscape architect Jun Obrero, also the landscape consultant of Antonio’s Tagaytay and Fernwood in Quezon City, further enhanced what was already growing in the said paradise.

Obrero said that only five hectares of deep ravine were converted into a forest park, preserving the age-old trees, planting foliage and ornamentals to enrich the character of the landscape at the middle of the forest where one can leisurely walk up and down the wooden trails.

He said one will admire the beautiful waterfalls, cascading down near a secluded enclave that provide venues for quiet meditation.

For peace and tranquility, this haven is blessed with heavenly blue sky, detached from the city’s gray polluted sky and crystalline waters below providing the mystical volcano with a soft bed to lie on.

He added that the ongoing landscaping is now 85 percent complete with lush tropical landscaping, bridged walkways and walking forest trails leading to the waterfalls, ponds, meditative alcoves and through the beautiful landscaped station of the cross through a tropical garden setting.

According to the family, this is a place which will not have a clubhouse nor sporting activities. It will remain to be a tranquil habitat, the way a weekend retreat should be.

The family now wishes to share with others the thirty premium sized lots (1,000 to 2,000 square meters) to prospective residents who will be privileged to live in a private community with a forest as their garden.
