After traveling several countries in Europe in three months, with sidetrips to Mexico and Canada, to promote Philippine tourism and his spiritual mission, Rev. Alex L. Orbito is back in the country ready to welcome a large delegation of foreigners who will attend his AMA healing seminar at the Pyramid of Asia in Manaoag, Pangasinan from Nov. 23 to Dec. 6.

In his European campaign where he gained wider following in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Austria, France, and The Netherlands, he happily noted the dramatic improvement of the Philippine image abroad despite the insistence of some governments to ban travel to Manila.

Orbito has gone to 67 countries since his first outing in 1974. He travels out of the country four times a year in a prophetic move to entice foreigners to visit the Philippines. His trimestral offering of the AMA healing course (April, August, November) at the Pyramid of Asia speaks well of his ardent desire to bring in the tourists and the dollars. So far, this is Orbito’s personal contribution to Philippine tourism.

The month of November marks two special anniversaries at the Pyramid of Asia. On Nov. 25, 1999, former President Fidel V. Ramos led the inaugural ceremonies attended by some 200 foreign delegates from 16 countries. It also ushered in the 1st Philippine International Healing Festival and Seminar. It is likewise the birthday of Alex Orbito, the founder of the Pyramid of Asia. More than his day of nativity, it is also a day of thanksgiving and fellowship where some 2,000 well-wishers join in the revelry. (Melvin S. Alvior)
