‘Xmas Wonderland’ at The Heritage

The newest buffet set-up for the Holiday season, the "Christmas Wonderland," was unveiled recently at the Restaurant Riviera of The Heritage Hotel.

The storybook-inspired English home dining features delicious international cuisine selection especially served at the different buffet stations, plus a visual feast on the cheerful ornament displays.

"The Christmas Village" is the highlight of the buffet station. Miniature houses and pine trees are spread all over that will make your buffet journey a truly enchanting experience. Follow the trail of the Express Train around the village as you choose from a variety of salads; fresh catch of the day at the seafood bar like oysters and prawns; fresh vegetables, seafood and sausage skewers for easy grilling or pan frying by the hotel’s master chefs.

Among the holiday Western fares served daily for lunch and dinner at R822 net (inclusive of 10 percent service charge and applicable government tax) are the juicy Roast Prime Beef Rib, Roast Rib Eye, Baked Salmon in Salt Crust at the carving station; Vermont Roast Turkey, Roast Rack of Lamb with Mint Sauce, Pollo Con Oliva, Chicken Marengo and Vitelo Al Limone at the hot station. Diners will still enjoy the ever popular Singapore-style Suckling Pig and Roast Duck.

Celebration of the season will not be complete without the traditional chocolate-covered English Fruitcake, Raspberry Flan Tart, Tiramisu, Creme Brulee and New York Cheesecake.

Also during the launch, the hotel gave a preview of the Christmas repertoire of its very own Heritage Family Choir composed of employees from Housekeeping, Laundry, Food and Beverage, Kitchen, Front Office, and Sales and Marketing. The choir will be performing at the lobby from Dec. 16 to 24.
