Bursting with life and rich with nature’s offspring, the El Nido Resorts in Palawan is truly an extraordinary and stunning place to host one’s ideal gateway trip. This eutopic side of the sea is a landscape forever etched in the mind with enchanting visions of white sand beaches, stately limestone cliffs, tranquil lagoons, and vibrant reefs.

El Nido Resorts highlights lush sceneries, bounteous resources, and complete facilities and recreations for guests to explore. Adventurers can choose from El Nido’s wide selection of activities that range from soft adventure sports such as snorkeling, diving, or kayaking in its activity sites that are just 10 to 30 minutes away by boat. For naturally sentimental and private types, one can simply go sunset cruising, have picnic at a secluded island or learn to weave a hat from coconut leaves.

For newcomers, El Nido offers four kinds of accommodations. Nature-lovers can spend time in their cozy "Forest Rooms’’ or "Forest Suites’’, which overlook the thick forest that cradles over a hundred species of birds and around 20 species of mammals. Those who want to catch the sunset at its best may prefer the "Beachfront Cottages’’, while the others may take the "Water Cottages’’ built on stilts where they can navigate their eyes on the clear water that host 200 species of fishes, more than 200 species of corals, and three species of endangered sea turtles. All the cottages and rooms have floors and furnishings made of wood, all from old Filipino houses.

To serve its guests well, El Nido Resorts is complete with facilities such as a boutique, clinic, lobby bar, clubhouse restaurant with air conditioned main dining and al fresco dining area at the terrace, theater-style conference room that can accommodate up to 70 persons, game area with a billiard table, dart boards, and table tennis facilities, library, Marine Sports Center well-equipped with snorkeling and diving gear, kayaks, windsurfing boards, water skis, a hobie cat, and banana boat, poolside bar, swimming pool, and video room. Other services offered are airport assistance, baby-sitting, fax and postal services, flight reconfirmation, laundry, massage services, room service, and safety deposit box.

El Nido Resort is just 75 minutes away from Manila resting at the northwestern tip of Palawan province and set in one of the coves of Lagen island, which is 50 minutes away by boat from El Nido Airport. The resort has a total of 51 airconditioned rooms consisting of 18 water cottages, 9 beachfront cottages, 20 forest rooms and four forest suites. These rooms are complete with amenities such as a mini-bar, stereo system with CD player, IDD/NDD telephone, hair dryer, bath amenities, and private toilet and shower with hot and cold running water.

Aside from its overwhelming scenic landscape and enchanting places to discover, the El Nido Resorts is one of the most important sites for biological diversity in the country and has been declared by the Philippine government as protected area.

This season, El Nido Resorts lets others experience paradise as it gave away an all-expense paid weekend getaway package of three-days-two-nights-stay at Lagen Island, with free meals and airfare plus free scuba diving and windsurfing lessons for two through a raffle held at the recent Bvlgari Ergon watch launch. Special guest, Bruna Abdalah, who is a Brazilian model, was overwhelmed being the lucky recipient of the prestigious trip package. Bvlgari’s latest timepiece collection, Ergon is dynamic and sporty yet elegant, which complements El Nido’s appreciation for adventurers. The raffle capped off with Bruna Abdalah winning the El Nido escapade. (PR)
