The Bellevue Hotel’s Grand Ballroom is expected to elevate entertaining to a higher art form. Envisioned to be the "ultimate concert venue of the South," the ultra-modern and chic edifice slated to open this month has a two-storey structure and can accommodate a maximum of 1,000 guests.

Furnished to the highest standards of comfort and good taste, the Oriental themed ballroom has the tallest ceiling height in the country, with partitions reaching up to 8 meters. State-of-the-art sound and lighting systems can be configured precisely to the needs of the occasion, just with the push of a button.

The brilliance of this outstanding room is showcased by its versatility. A wide variety of lighting styles are available to achieve the desired mood. A high-end projection system built into the walls and ceilings of the room has remote connection panels and large motorized screens, eliminating unsightly projector machines and wires that take up space and spoil the ambiance.

A hi-fi sound system has built-in patch panels all around the ballroom for mic, audio and video inputs. A new breakthrough, the Electronic Event Display system, uses Plasma and LCD displays to serve as the event board instead of old fashioned brass stands. LCD displays built in to each doorframe of the ballroom identifies the function inside or can be used to display videos and advertising content. A plasma monitor mounted in an artfully conceived stand also serves as the event board of the hotel. This can double as a map of how to get to a specific function, or an advertising piece in the lobby for hotel events and promotions.

A kitchen design consultant carefully planned the layout of the 500-square meter main kitchen and 100-square meter satellite preparation kitchen. Top-of-the-line banquet and kitchen equipment are the same brands used by five-star hotels around the world. More than the highquality systems and supplies employed in the ballroom, still the core of its operations lies in its people.

"The Bellevue Grand Ballroom’s most important asset is its banquet staff. After interviewing over 100 banquet personnel, those selected undergo a three-week extensive training. Those who will pass this extensive training will still be categorized based on competence, efficiency, and work values that epitomizes The Bellevue standard of excellent service,’’ said Bellevue general manager Cyndy Tan Jarabata
