The Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) led by general manager/CEO Robert Dean S. Barbers and in cooperation with ABS-CBN and Star Records brought into one gathering the nation’s best and brightest artists as they performed altogether with pride and honor for the country.

The Philippines was pronounced as the "Tourism Capital in the Asia-Pacific" in a music video which featured, the BEST of the Philippines, a highly talented pool of Filipino artists, beautiful sights and destinations and rich cultural heritage.

The program enjoined ordinary Filipinos to travel around the country and ceased from being strangers in their motherland. It further aims to project the country as a peaceful and friendly haven for foreign tourists while it exhorted all Filipinos abroad to promote Philippines to the rest of the world.

The music video entitled "Pilipino sa Turismo’y Aktibo" featured various artists such as Dolphy, Gary Valenciano, Kuh Ledesma, Charo Santos, Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Roderick Paulate, Claudine Barretto, Jericho Rosales, Piolo Pascual, Heart Evangelista, Lito Camo, Jiro Manio, Ella Mae Saison, Jamie Rivera, Dianne dela Fuente, Vhong Navarro, April Boy Regino, Angelika Jones, Erick Santos, Sandwich, Gloc 9, Akafellas, Maoui David, Aliyah Parcs, Marinel Santos, Michelle Ayalde, Divo Bayer, Micheal Cruz, Johann Escanan, King, Jonathan Badon and Raki Vega.

The music video was launched last March 20 during the live telecast over RPN 9 of the highly publicized boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Erick Morales in Nevada, USA. Indeed, an opportune time for the whole country to appreciate the beauty of the Philippines.

RedPhil Production produced the project while Alco Guerrero and Carlo Suratos directed the music video. "Pilipino sa Turismo’y Aktibo" PTA Jingle was jointly conceived by Ruel Paz (lyrics), Jude Roldan (music) and Mike Villegas (arrangement). Primary sponsor is the most sought after videoke microphone, WOW Magic Sing.

PTA’s various tourism entities nationwide were highlighted in the said music video, among which are Club Intramuros Golf Course; San Fabian PTA Beach Resort in Pangasinan; Tagaytay Picnic Grove; Balicasag Island Resort in Bohol; MacArthur Park Beach Resort in Palo, Leyte; Ramon Magsaysay Park in Davao; Banawe Hotel and Youth Hostel in Ifugao; Zamboanga Golf Course; and Hilaga in Pampanga.
