General
Information
Asian
Spirit made quite a stir in San Jose, Cauayan, Boracay, Masbate,
Virac, Daet, and Tablas when its De Havilland Dash 7s first
landed in these sleepy airports in 1996. Long considered as
secondary and tertiary routes, these destinations have often
been neglected and without dependable airline service. Flights
to these places were often cancelled at the slightest sign of
rain, or everytime passenger count falls below breakeven point.
With
Asian Spirit regularly flying to these routes, however, the
local folks are confident on good things to come. Their links
to Manila and other commercial centers have been re-established.
Businessman and tourists could easily gain access to the islands.
The roar of planes' engines hinted that progress is underway.
Asian
Spirit is the country's youngest airline. It is also the Philippines'
only airline cooperative. Aptly called Airline Employees Cooperative,
its 36 founding members own and run the company. Behind every
founder is a rich airline experience ranging from 15 to 25
years.
The
Airline
Established
by the Airline Employees Cooperative, Asian Spirit is a domestic
passenger airline with the mission to operate scheduled services
to tourist destinations and secondary and tertiary airports
where other airlines don't dare to operate.
Asian
Spirit shall also endeavor to develop other destinations with
tourism potentials, in line with the Department of Tourism's
Master Plan.
Requirements
To
ensure prompt and efficient service, please furnish us the
following:
* Arrival/Departure
* Flight Details
* Number of Passengers/Rooming List
* Name of Preferred Hotel or Resort (Tour Package)
All
booking will be given a cut-off time (option date) for confirmation
taking into consideration the number of passengers being booked
and the booking season. Lapsed option will automatically result
to cancellation of booking.
Confirmation
of services requested will be within twenty four (24) hours
after the receipt of reservation request. In case immediate
confirmation is not possible, clients will be informed of
booking status.
Notes:
* Fare for children between 2 to 11 years old shall be 50%
of the normal fares. Fare for infants below 2 years old shall
be 10% of the published rate (no seat).
* Additional fees / charges: Airport Security Fee (ASF), Terminal
Fee (TF) for adults, ASF only for infants, and insurance premium.
* Check-in time is at least one (1) hour before the flight.
* Luggage limitation is 18 kgs./person. (10 kgs. for LET-410).
