Some
rocks break the surface. A gradual set of boulders forms miniature drop-offs
from 5m (16ft) to 30m (100ft) plus due to the running currents, the marine
life is plentiful and varied. There are good corals and the fish life include
Moorish idols, Porcupinefish, Pufferfish, Snappers, Powder-blue Surgeon
fish, jacks, scorpionfish, wrasses, and many more.
There is a cave at 7m (23ft) in which Whitetip Reef Sharks have been seen resting. The boulders are festooned with soft corals and anemones, together with many crinoids, colourful Lincra sea stars and nudibranchs. Because of the fierce currents, divers may have to shelter behind the rocks to be able to photograph. |
