Eskaya Beach Resort & Spa
Barangay Tawala, Panglao, Bohol

The name Eskaya refers to the only known indigenous people of Bohol. The resort is in Panglao Island which is at the southernmost tip of Bohol. It is located halfway through Panglao along its coast facing Mindanao Sea.

Topography of the resort is varied. It has a short cliff, flat land, a ravine, even caves and has a commanding view of the sea. On the higher ground of the resort, you can view mountain with lush vegetation. Down the beach is a long stretch of white sand up to 5 kilometers, 600 meters of which is part of Eskaya.

The resort is boutique style which accounts for its exclusivity. Architecture of the building is decidedly Filipino with a splash of modern amenities. The thatched villas or “balai” in the dialect, are single detached. These are built with sturdy construction materials, but the ample use of indigenous materials like bamboo, cogon, and wood for finishing is highly evident.

The center of attraction of the resort is the infinity pool which definitely blends with the sea at its bluest. The spacious restaurant has a cool feeling, yet with a warm ambience and plenty of sea view and pool view. Dining can also be at the beach al fresco, at the poolside and in the garden.

Sports activities include beach volleyball, badminton, ping pong and water sports like jet-ski ride, snorkeling, etc. Island hopping, scuba-diving, whale-watching and sightseeing tours maybe packaged or can be arranged on arrival at the resort. Guests can also play chess or scrabble. There’s a mini library in the front office where DVD’s are also available.

You have countless choices to achieve calm and recreation. You can choose to bask in the privacy of your own private swimming pool, a rarity in resort-spas in the country. Awaken your senses in the infinity pool and your private whrilpool. Let the calm and soothing waters sweep all worldly distractions away and bring you to contentment.

From the outside, the single-detached villas look rustic and simple. Their thatched cogon roof and the creative use of bamboo and wood, make you feel transported to another age when you had more time for life's simple pleasures. But once you enter, all the comforts of warm Filipino home welcome you, enhanced by today's modern pleasures.

Once you have regained that elusive sense of serenity at Eskaya Beach Resort and Spa, have some fun and take a short ride to the various wonders of Bohol. Life is not only a beach. The magnificent Chocolate Hills, Balicasay Island's underwater treasures, the whales of Pamalican Island, the mystic Hinagdanan Caves, the rush of Loboc River and curious encounters with the tarsier are all within easy access from Eskaya.

Bohol is blessed with natural wonders that one would agree that here life is not only a beach, but more. After some lazing in the sand, visitors can be cooled down with the refreshing sites of Loboc River, a man-made forest, the Chocolate Hills, and an unforgettable encounter with the cute tarsier. Or they can go island hopping, scuba-diving in Balicasag Island, whale-watching in Pamalican Island and more sight seeing. These can be packaged or can be arranged at the resort on arrival.
