Coconut Grove Beach Resort
Paringao, Bauang
La Union 2501
Philippines

On January 2, 1990, Coco Village Beach Resort was opened at Paringao, Bauang, La Union. This resort was owned by Australian named Peter Malpas, Harry Anderson, Bill Gadd, Imee Anderson and Collin Mc Keough and formed PHABIC RESORT CORPORATION. Mr. Harry Anderson was chosen as the manager. This resort had twenty (20) deluxe rooms by that time, with medium size swimming pool and indoor bowling green; they call it Lawn Bowls from England to Australia to Philippines. Then years later, this said resort was renamed from Coco Village Beach Resort to Coconut Grove Beach Resort due to the approval of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Eight (8) rooms were also added due to local demands. Leo Boxhall was the first customer, followed by American G.I. then locals from near provinces for they love the saltwater and the swimming pool. Lawn Bowls is also known as the International Game because some members at the green had competed outside the country like in England, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and New Zealand. Finally, this sport has been accepted during SEA Games and they got Silver Award during the 2006 South East Asian Games held at Angeles City.
