The Black Forest B&B Lodge & Cabins, occupying a secluded location in Colorado Springs, Colo., is positioned in the Black Forest approximately eight miles from "town." The lodge is less than 25 miles from the tourist attractions of the Pikes Peak region, including Garden of the Gods, the town of Manitou Springs, Colo., and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway.
This property is made up of several log cabin-style buildings set on 20 acres of land covered with ponderosa pines and golden aspens. The main house is built in Dutch Colonial style, and is accompanied by a separate lodge that includes a dance floor, baby grand piano, meeting room, two fireplaces and 50 feet of sliding glass doors with scenic views of the forest, city and mountains. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served daily. A computer station with high-speed Internet access, fax machine and photocopy machine is available. The grounds of the property include a log pavilion, playground and hiking trails. One cat, two dogs and two show bunnies live on the property. Other pets are not allowed.
Accommodations at the Black Forest B&B Lodge & Cabins are located in the property's barn, bunkhouses or individual cabins. The Chalet unit, positioned on one acre, offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Chalet includes a living room with a fireplace and a full kitchen. The Loft unit, a two-bedroom apartment located on the second floor of the property's log barn, offers a full kitchen, wood-burning stove and cathedral ceilings. Cable television, VCRs and complimentary high-speed Internet access are provided in all accommodations. Select units offer bathrooms with jetted tubs.
