This Daytona Beach Shores resort has a restaurant and lounge with weekend entertainment, exercise room, steam room, game room, heated oceanfront pool, children's play area, guest laundry facilities and a small meeting room. The side studios at the Castaways Beach Resort have a view of the ocean but are not directly on the oceanfront. Each unit has air conditioning, alarm clock radio, balcony, cable television and telephone. Guests will appreciate the convenience of a mini-kitchen with two-burner stove top, dishes, utensils, cookware, mini fridge and microwave oven. Castaways Beach Resort appeals to budget-conscious travelers seeking an oceanfront location and the convenience of a mini kitchen in Daytona Beach. This hotel will begin renovating balconies in September 2006. The hotel assures that it will make every effort to minimize construction noise and related disturbance. Jack hammering occasionally takes place during the week; it never takes place on the weekend. This hotel is currently renovating the balconies on the south side of the building.
