Location. Jacaranda Beach Villas is a condominium resort located on the sugar-white sands of St. Pete Beach, Fla. The Dolphin Village Shopping Center is less than one mile away. Fort Desoto Park, considered one of America's best beaches, is five miles from the property.
Features. The Jacaranda Beach Villas is part of the Tradewinds Beach Resort, where condominium guests have full access to the resort and the neighboring hotel's amenities. This expansive property fronts the Gulf of Mexico. Guests can swim at the adjacent beach and at the resort's five outdoors pools, the largest of which is a lagoon-style pool surrounded by chaise lounges and palm trees. Relaxation continues within at Body Works Salon and Spa. There, hot-stone massages ease muscle tension, while facials concocted from red wine provide a youthful glow. The resort offers a menu of dining options via four restaurants and the B.R. Cudas sports bar. That lounge specializes in tropical drink and standard bar fare such as chicken wings and nachos. The resort's fine-dining venue, the Palm Court Bistro, serves rich dishes such as filet mignon, veal chops, and pasta paella. Salads, sandwiches and seafood are served at Bermudas, Capt. RedBeard's Sharktooth Tavern and the Flying Bridge, the resort's three casual dining establishments. In-room dining is available during select hours. A daily resort fee covers parking, wireless Internet access and nightly sunset celebrations; it also allows guest usage of the resort's tennis courts, cabanas and paddleboats.
Guestrooms. Guest condos offer furnished balconies with views of the resort, pool, or ocean. The layout features separate bedrooms and common areas. Separate sitting rooms include sofa beds. Kitchenettes come with granite countertops, two-burner cooktops, wet bars, refrigerators, microwaves and place settings for 10 people. Televisions include premium channels, pay movies and video games. Complimentary weekday newspapers are delivered to guestrooms.
Expert Tip. Thrifty vacationers make a beeline for the Publix supermarket at the nearby Dolphin Village Shopping Center to stock up on snacks and sundries.
