Location. The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach stands on Maui's Kaanapali Beach in Kaanapali, Hawaii. This condo hotel is located adjacent to Whalers Village shops and restaurants, and is positioned across the street from two championship golf courses.
Features. This gated oceanfront property features a glass-walled, skylit lobby that opens onto a koi-pond garden. Oceanfront, granite-topped picnic tables pair with ocean-view barbecue areas. Beyond the Maui-shaped garden, a rectangular pool and spa tub are surrounded by two slate-tile sundecks. The complimentary fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. Yoga classes are offered. The on-site day spa features two massage treatment rooms and houses an Aveda salon. Three tennis courts can be accessed for a fee. Activities include Mai Tai parties that are hosted every other week. For a fee, children ages five through 12 can attend Camp Kaanapali, which is located one mile away at a companion property.
Guestrooms. The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach offers 360 studios and suites located in two 12-story towers. Accommodations are individually decorated, but most reflect island themes, boast wood parquet or carpeted floors, and feature marble bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchens feature granite countertops and offer a welcome gift of a sliced Hawaiian pineapple and two bottles of water. Modern enhancements include DVD players and VCRs. Walk-in closets reveal complimentary laptop-compatible in-room safes. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available in all accommodations.
Expert Tip. The complimentary Kaanapali Resort shuttle stops at the condo lobby and transports guests to two golf courses located across the street. The shuttle also provides pick-up service at Whalers Village.
