Location. The Mauna Loa Village by the Sea is set on 16 beautifully landscaped acres and adjacent to the manicured fairways of the Kona Country Club in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Lush tropical foliage, magnificent waterscapes and natural lava rock gardens await visitors of the area. Less than a half mile from water sports and shopping, the resort is conveniently located on the big island.
Hotel Features. Five tennis courts are located on site, and there are several pools and jetted tubs. Barbeque grills invite outdoor feasting and the large sundeck is great for catching some rays. An activity desk is located on the property to assist in booking reservations for tours and recreational activities such as parasailing and diving. Other amenities include laundry facilities and garage parking.
Guestrooms. The condo-style units are accessible via the exterior and offer separate living and sleeping areas. The one- and two-bedroom accommodations each feature unique décor and furnishings. Full kitchens come with refrigerators, microwave ovens, ranges and dishware. Views from the private lanais (patio/balcony) are of the fountain, pool or fairways. Expert Tip. Visitors can check out one of Hawaii's most scenic waterfalls via a paved path that loops through a rainforest, past bamboo and ginger. Fantastic views of the 442-foot falls and of nearby Kahuna Falls can be found at the observation point.

Driving Directions
From Keahole Kona Airport: Exit right out of the airport traveling south on Highway 19 (Queen Kaahumanu Highway) heading towards Keauhou. Drive approximately 15 miles. Road becomes Highway 11. Upon approach of a three lane highway; merge right and stay in that lane until Kamehameha III Road. Turn right at the intersection and continue down hill until the second traffic light. Turn left onto Alii Road and follow for approximately 1/4 mile. Take your first right after passing the second "Keauhou Bay" sign. This will be Kaleiopapa Street. Follow this street down the hill. Mauna Loa Village will be on the left. The check-in office is located in the first building to the left entering the resort.
