On the Island of Kauai, the opportunities for fun are virtually endless. Some of Hawaii's best and most challenging golf courses are found on Kauai. If you want to explore the island on horseback, there are scenic trails that follow along the coast. Kauai is a popular spot for both freshwater and saltwater anglers. Hikers are in luck - only 10 percent of Kauai is accessible by road so there is a lot out there waiting to be explored on foot. Take the Kuilau Ridge Trail, a 4.2-mile hike that offers dramatic views of small waterfalls and a wealth of flora. If you like water sports, try windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, boating, sailing, water skiing, or kayaking. Some of the sites you don't want to miss are the Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge, Haena Wet and Dry Caves, Kauai Museum, and the Kilauea Lighthouse.
