Hotel Features. The Governor Hotel added a west wing in 1923 to accommodate the Portland Elks Club, and took its architectural guidance from the Farnese Palace in Rome. As an added hotel benefit, shoeshine service is complimentary.
Guestrooms. The east wing of the Governor Hotel houses 72 guestrooms, while the west wing contains 28 accommodations that retain the hotel's original style. Guestroom amenities feature wireless Internet access, multi-line telephones, cable television, coffeemakers and daily newspaper delivery. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
