Seawind’s sultry Asian themed rooms – using mostly wood and other local materials – aptly harmonizes the property’s setting, tucked away in the far end of the beach front row for privacy but not so far from where all the action is. Ideal for company team-building sessions and big group seminars, the property has fivestar hotel amenities and offers a wide variety of interesting holiday activities. Room rates start from 5.00 (about R6,875 plus) per room on a twin-sharing basis.

The heavy dinner made us feel like stuffed turkeys ready for the oven, so we tried walking the calories off along the beachfront bars. We passed by Cocomangas’ attractive and huge cocoon-like setup and some smaller bar cafés with a few new homely three-to-four room spacesaving and minimalist lodgings sandwiched in between.

Accompanied by Boracay Tropics’ Onelle Pacheco and SEAIR sales manager Mark Hilario, we all settled for the Pier One bar with its good mix of sounds, pica-pica and a few cocktails while trading stories.

A many-sided destination, bohemian Boracay can be a sloth’s nirvana with its idyllic and scenic sea-to-landscapes. But for active bodies, this sun-kissed isle offers boundless adrenalin-pumping daytime activities, while nightlife pulsates with non-stop euphoric passion. Check out Hey Jude and Summer Place if you’re still up at 3 a.m. and you’ll know what I mean.

If you don’t want to waste precious time in going to Boracay, trust SEAIR to take you here.

Trailblazing SEAIR, in all its 11 years in the country flying to hip destinations mainly Palawan and Boracay from Manila, is now the official carrier of 18 local tourist destinations, including Cebu, Clark, Busuanga, Cuyo, El Nido, Puerto Princesa, Rodriguez, San Jose in Oriental Mindoro, Siargao, Camiguin, Cotabato, Zamboanga, Jolo, Tawi-Tawi and Mindanao. Headquartered at the Clark Special Economic Zone in Angeles City, Pampanga, the airline company intends to include secondary and missionary routes to beef up trunk-line routes serviced by other major airlines.

Mark said SEAIR’s fleet operates nine LET-410 planes, three Dornier 328s and has restored the Do-24 ATT vintage seaplane. Having conquered a lion’s share in the domestic market, the company is upbeat in touching down on the BIMP-EAGA region that comprise Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the rest of the Philippines’ emerging topnotch destinations.
