DISCOVERY Shores Boracay will redefine benchmarks in luxury accommodation in the resort island of Boracay as it formally opens in February 2007. Significantly, it will also herald the confident and dynamic expansion of HSAI-Raintree’s Discovery brand of hotels and resorts in the country.

Created to be the best on the island, Discovery Shores is a sprawling beachfront property that includes 88 luxurious guestrooms and a world-class spa facility overlooking the beach. Located on the island’s extremely popular and exclusive Station 1, the resort boasts of exquisite guestrooms and facilities designed by Budji Layug + Royal Pineda Architecture Planning and Interior Design.

W.V. Coscolluela & Associates, a Manila-based architecture firm, incorporated Boracay’s natural surroundings into the interior spaces. The sand, chrome and wood edifice reflect the dominant colors of the island. Wide windows offer a nearly panoramic view of the surrounding scenery and some bathroom windows open to private pocket gardens of lush greens.

Discovery Shores’ main facilities include the Sands Restaurant, the Sandbar beach bar, the Quicksand pool bar, Sand Box kiddie lounge, Shorelines gift shop, Discovery Shores Spa operated by the world renowned Mandala Spa, an infinity pool, swimming pool, and recreation room. Water sports enthusiasts can indulge in windsurfing, parasailing, waterskiing, scuba diving and snorkeling.
