Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park in Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite, the nearest island sanctuary destination in the metropolis, launched recently its newest club called “By The Bay” to celebrate this coming summer season by offering a beach-like feel minus the sea.

The unveiling of the island resort’s newest bar was highlighted by a fashion show and capped with a beach dance party.

"By The Bay" is the island resort’s take on a summer hideaway party ambience like Boracay. "Now you don’t have to go too far to take a real island break," said Norli Agustin-Buhay, general manager, Island Cove. " Everyday on the island is a feast day."

The bar, which is situated near the bay, offers a great view of the Manila skyline especially during sunsets and in the evening. White powdery sand coat the whole floor area of the bar to generate a beach atmosphere.

Guests sit al fresco on "banig" or mat weave mattresses and oversized throw pillows setup under tall coconut palms.

Several native huts where family and friends can eat and have their drinks encircle the club’s main bar. Lively music and servers in beach getup and henna tattoos and beaded native jewelry complete the festive seaside experience.

During the launch, guests got to marvel at a fireworks display over at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City as it lighted up the sky over Manila Bay. Also from a distance, one could see planes making their muted, periodic flights to and from Manila’s international airport.

Buhay and her able staff composed of Malu Samaco, executive assistant; Sol Cano, F&B manager; Arlyn Alino, HRD manager; Jeffrey Camanag, business development strategist; and Melissa Bautista, marketing manager led a toast to mark the opening of the bar. "Everyone is invited to celebrate the coming summer by being free, being daring and being gorgeous," Buhay said.

By the Bay offers a beach-like experience sans the sea. Crispy greens and sizzling pulutans go well with Flavored Beers unique to By the Bay. You may choose from strawberry, blue curacao, passion fruit and raspberry for a real tropical experience.

The filling and healthy selection of main dishes are truly mouth-watering. Tofu in Seafood Shuffle, Grilled Tuna Delight and the classic Chicken and Pork BBQ will surely remind one of having a bonfire by the shore.
