Oldest Stone Church - Ronald Ramiro
BACLAYON CHURCH
It is the oldest(?) stone church in the Philippines built in the 16th century. It has its own museum complete with the old sutanas
of the early priests, carabao skin hymnal, ivory crucifix, and many other items authenticated by the National Museum.
BLOOD COMPACT SITE
Marker where Ruy Lopez Miguel de Legaspe landed after escaping Lapu-lapu's wrath in Mactan and made peace with the
local chief - Sikatuna.
OLD HOUSES IN SITIO UBOS TAGBILARAN CITY
A cluster of old houses in the original Tagbilaran of the olden times dating back to the 17th century.Houses built without the
use of nails, hinges.
Ave Sta. Maria - Yvette Brawner
The best churches that I've been to is located at the North of the Philippines - Vigan, Sta. Maria, Laoag.(Ilocos Sur and
Ilocos Norte). The churches are fantastically made and are definitely a must-see for people who want to see historical
monuments. My personal favorite is the
Sta. Maria Church, with its numerous steps. It's just wonderful!
Old Spanish Flavor - Miguel Sunga, Jr.
Vigan, Ilocos Sur.Here one will fine these find architectural relics dating back during the Spanish time.Old houses, churhes,
cobbled stone streets and even lamp posts, all preserved for us and hopefully for our children's children.
During our nation's centenial anniversary, this would be the best time for us to visit historic landmaks of our country.
Cogon Houses - Keithley Biteng
SAGADA, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE..........old houses called cogon houses are still of use
here and they are being replaced with galvanized iron houses fast.......it seems they would
be extinct in a couple more years........
