Savedra: Good accommodation, fantastic seaview and worldclass diving ...

At Savedra Beach Resort you can count on finding everything a real diver really need: good food, cozy accommodation, breathtaking scenery and fantastic diving. The bungalows are situated perfectly, right between the coral gardens of the house reef and the dive center. You have the best seaview imaginable, the water gets right to your veranda and the reef with all its coral gardens and teeming fish is just a swim of 30 meters away. The nearest restaurant (and "watering hole") is just a couple of meters along the road. The Veranda overlooking the sea is really the best: here you can sit and watch the brilliant colors of the sunset, savor delicious food from one of the nearby restaurants, or sunbathe and appreciate the crystal clear water. All rooms are comfortable, marbled-floored and equipped with air-con, hot and cold water as well as a mini bar.

Savedra Beach Resort is located in Moalboal, Cebu. Despite Cebu City just being 90 km away, Moalboal has kept its unique charm and relaxed atmosphere. Lacking a really nice sand beach, but offering fantastic dive spots, Moalboal avoids mass tourism and other tourism related hassles. The mixture of expatriates and visiting divers from all over the world with the friendly and unspoiled Filipino residents of Moalboal create quite a unique community. Numerous restaurants offer you a wide variety of cuisines, especially freshly caught seafood. On an extended weekend dive holiday you can try one restaurant or canteen per day and not have to go to any place twice. Several nightspots, like Bulldog or Roxy's, offer pool billiards and darts, sometimes also live music. Chief Maui and Lloyds offer additional dance floors for hot disco nights.

This is what Gretchen Hutchinson from ASIAN DIVER MAGAZINE wrote about Moalboal:

"Fishermen paddle away as the sun rises. Their bancas (outriggerboats) look like toys. As they slow, the fishermen drop their nets. A few men slip into the water and begin beating the surface, grunting or hooting. Each has developed his individual fish scaring technique. There they work as they have for decades. Divers slowly emerge from the depth of sleep. Some grope groggily for a cup of coffee, plant themselves in the veranda, and ease into the day soothed by the sound of the sea as they watch the fishermen. Others bound out of their rooms, eager anticipation on their faces, and set about preparing cameras and checking dive gear. A couple, eager to catch their environs on film, shoot typical morning activities - a protesting cow being led into the water for a bath, a group oflocal dogs cavorting in the sand, vendors selling bread and rice cakes while the smell of breakfasts being cooked over charcoal"

In cooperation with Planet Action Adventure we offer special Action Packages for those who expect more from life than watching Discovery Channel from the couch. Especially people who pursue an active lifestyle will enjoy selected dive programs for beginners and experienced divers combined with climbing action in white water rivers or with a day of rappelling in a series of high waterfalls deep inside jungle-covered mountains
