Traders Hotel bids farewell to its GM





The Traders Hotel Manila Executive Committee members and the management team recently hosted a farewell party for its general manager Juan Carlos Diago. He had been given a new assignment as hotel manager of a sister hotel in Penang, Malaysia, the 395 -room Shangri-La’s Golden Sands Resort, located along Batu Feringgi, Penang’s finest beach.





Symon Bridle, Shangri-La International’s Group director of Operations – Non-China who is based in Hong Kong graced the event. Traders’ incoming general manager will be announced at a later date.





The Traders brand represents Shangri-La’s group of quality mid-range hotels developed with an emphasis on location, efficiency and genuine value for money. Other Traders hotels are located in Beijing, Singapore, Shenyang, China and Yangon, Myanmar.

Century Park appoints senior exec. sec.





The Century Park Hotel recently appointed Leah Raterta Camacho as Senior Executive secretary — Executive Office of the hotel.





Camacho is a graduate of St.Paul College, Manila with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.





She was a student trainee of the hotel from October to November 1998. Immediately after graduation, she became a management trainee at the Sales and Marketing Department of the hotel. She was hired at the executive office, as executive office assistant to the senior executive secretary on casual basis and later on as executive office assistant, on probationary basis, a position she held until her new appointment.







Fernandina Hotel opens new multi-purpose hall





Fernandina 88 Suites Hotel has a new multi-purpose hall located at the 6th floor of the hotel.





The fully airconditioned Vigan Conference Hall was built to cater to the growing needs of different companies and organizations. It is an ideal venue for product presentations, planning sessions, conference and meetings. The hall, which can accommodate 40 persons, has complete facilities and amenities.
