Filipinos traveling to London can now hear the familiar “Mabuhay!” as they are welcomed by their “kababayans” right in Heathrow Airport with the British Airways (BA) Visitors Service, a dedicated service that provides a very special level of customer care by speaking your language and understanding your culture.

This service is complimentary and is provided to passengers who request it when they make their flight reservation. A welcoming smile and a warm greeting in a particular language aims to make passengers feel comfortable and secure.

The BA Visitors Team swing into action the moment passengers disembark the plane. Utmost care is then taken to make sure that the journey from departing the airc

aft to leaving the airport is as seamless as possible. Assistance is provided through arrivals, immigration, baggage collection and Customs.

Passengers will be looked after on a flight by a member of the International Cabin Crew and handed over personally to the requested Visitors Service Team. Relatives may also request on behalf of the passenger by contacting the office where the original bo

oking was made by quoting the passenger’s flight reference number.

This service is further enhanced by offering passengers the facility to book hotel and apartment accommodations, theater tickets, sightseeing tours or a chauffeur-driven car during their stay in England at very competitive rates, and bookings can be made on very short notice. These bookings can be made upon purchase of flight t

ickets by contacting the local British Airways office.

Apart from Filipino, other languages offered in Heathrow Airport include Arabic, Farsi (Iranian), Hindi and other Indian dialects, Urdu and Punjabi (Pakistani), Russian and Ukranian, Japanese, Cantonese and Mandarin, Thai, Korean, Yoruba (African) and Armenian.

In Gatwick Airport, visitors may avail of services in Spanish, Portuguese, African languages including Twi, Ga, Fante, Yoruba, Shona, Ndau, Nyanja, Luganda and Swahili, Russian and Ukrainian and Arabic, while Urdu and Punjabi for Pakistani visitors are offered in Manchester Airport.
