Showroom for Ecija goods eyed

A central showroom exhibiting small and medium industry products of Nueva Ecija would soon be established to help local producers of manufactured items attract buyers from outside the province.

Gov. Tomas N. Joson III said that the concept of his project centers on the gravitation of local producer into a trading house and exhibition hall where quality work based on international standards is the guidepost to market stability.

According to Joson, the aims of the project include the promotion of products made by Novo Ecojanos to enable them to penetrate a wider market; stockpiling of all or most locally made quality products for wholesaling and retailing within the burden of paying rental; establishment of a central trading post for the benefit of producers and buyers alike; and the creation of a climate where entrepreneural dreams would be ably assisted for realization and business ventures properly rewarded leading to the creation of more job opportunities.

The provincial chief executive pointed out that the end in view is to show the world that many quality-manufactured or handcrafted goods bear the imprint “Product of Nueva Ecija”. (A. LACSON)
