A photo contest about travel in the Philippines and its people has been launched, recently.
Dubbed "My Best Travel Photo," the photo tilt is open to all photographers, amateur or professional.
The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, together with the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) is the organizer of this special event of the 15th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) to be held at the SM Megamall on Sept. 3-5.
Photos must be taken in the Philippines. Participants can send their photos taken in arts and crafts markets; agri and manufacturing facilities; natural assets like beaches, waterfalls, mountains, rivers, flora and fauna (endangered species), dive spots, heritage sites, people-native attire, lifestyle, ethnic communities, national parks and rainforests; religious sites; activities like pilgrimage sites; sports facilities like golf, badminton, tennis or basketball; and transportation.
Entries must be 8x10 in color. Submit prints with the corresponding data sheet attached at the back of each entry. Film or digital camera output in photo paper processed by photo labs only.
Prizes at stake are: R10,000, first prize; R7,000, second prize; and R5,000, third prize. While 4th to 10th places will receive consolation prizes.
Deadline is on Sept. 4 at the FPPF secretariat or at the PTM exhibit area. Awarding is on Sept. 5 at the PTM exhibit hall.
